Contemporary furniture design satisfies sculptural jewelry within this stunning collaboration between design studio PELLE and jewellery designer Russell Whitmore of Erie Basin. Together, they created a set that highlights the exceptional qualities of both spouses — the modern design aesthetic of PELLE and historic design and manufacturing from Russell Whitmore. Past Presence layers ornamental accents on modern contours, while experimenting with conventional procedures of production and rare substances. The collection is made up of three one-of-a-kind bits which were debuted at Collective Design Fair.
SILVER VEIL is a sizable scale table lamp with some seriously excellent fringe detail. It’s a sharp, geometric foundation plated in pure silver, so causing a reflective surface which makes it appear invisible. The fringe curtain comprises sterling silver plated chains which create an enigmatic disposition.
DARK MOON is a intergalactic metal and rock wall fixture which has a shape commonly seen in Arts & Crafts jewelry. The wall sconce features an obsolete, solid brass body with dangling rock segments. Each section is made from black marble, and diffuses the light created to create interesting shadows.
The FIN CHAIR is a sleek, mahogany and steel seat which has a fin-like rear. The simple, simple frame is warmed up by the Honduran mahogany wood.
